The Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program is a Government of Alberta program funding support services for eligible adults aged 18 and older with developmental disabilities. Funding is based on assessed need and used to purchase services from Pre-Qualified Resource (PQR) approved providers.
Adults with a documented developmental disability present before age 18 that significantly impacts adaptive functioning. Eligibility is determined by Alberta’s regional PDD offices through a formal intake and assessment process.
A Pre-Qualified Resource provider is reviewed and approved by the Government of Alberta — your assurance that the provider has been evaluated against program standards, not just self-declared. The Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) program supports families raising children with disabilities from birth to 17 years. It is family-centred by design — supporting the whole family system, not just the child.
Children with a diagnosed disability that significantly impacts daily functioning. Families apply through Alberta Children’s Services. An FSCD worker conducts a formal intake and eligibility assessment.
FMS gives families direct control over their FSCD funding to hire and manage their own support workers. Urban Classic Health can provide trained, clinically supervised workers within FMS arrangements — giving families flexibility with organizational infrastructure.

The Calgary Region — City of Calgary and surrounding communities including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, High River, Strathmore, Chestermere, Canmore, and rural areas within the regional boundaries. Families in surrounding communities are fully within our service area.
No — and we want to be clear. We are actively pursuing CARF accreditation and are currently in the preparation process with an advisor. We have not yet received accreditation. We will announce it on this site when formally confirmed.

Yes. We offer private home care outside of funded programs, and we can help you understand whether you or your family member may qualify for PDD or FSCD and guide you through the eligibility process.
Group home residential care is a planned service in active development — it is not yet available. Our PDD Pre-Qualified Resource application, which includes residential group living for the Calgary Region, was submitted in June 2026 and is under review. Register your interest now and we will contact you as development milestones are reached. Note: group home placement through PDD involves your case coordinator in the assessment and referral process. All workers are subject to criminal record checks with vulnerable sector screening, reference verification, and a structured orientation and training process. Role-specific certifications including First Aid and CPR are required. Our LPN Director of Care provides clinical oversight across all service delivery.
Urban Classic Health has a formal complaint and concern management policy. Raise concerns directly with our Director of Care or Executive Director at any time. Every concern is documented, investigated, and resolved with a clear written response. We treat every concern as a quality improvement opportunity.
