About Urban Classic Health

Our Story

Urban Classic Life Home Health Inc. — operating as Urban Classic Health — was founded in Calgary, Alberta, in August 2024 to build a full-spectrum disability support and home health organization that can genuinely meet the complexity of individuals’ and families’ needs across the Calgary Region and surrounding communities.

We observed a consistent gap in Calgary’s care landscape: providers narrow in scope, organizations clinically thin, and families assembling support from disconnected sources. Urban Classic Health was built to be different — clinically grounded, policy-governed, and designed to serve individuals across the full arc of their needs, from home health and personal care to disability support, behavioural services, and community programs.

Before accepting our first referral, we built the infrastructure: a 27-policy compliance and ethics framework, CARF International accreditation in progress, Pre-Qualified Resource applications submitted (June 2026) under both the PDD and FSCD programs for the Calgary Region, and formal governance established. We serve Calgary and surrounding communities, and we grow with intention.

Core Values

The Heart of Our Commitment to Your Wellness

Dignity

Every person is a whole person — our work begins with the recognition of inherent human worth and never reduces individuals to diagnoses or funding categories.

Accountability.

Our compliance framework, accreditation pursuit, and regulatory applications were in place before our first service was delivered — accountability is built in, not added after.

Clinical Integrity

Nursing oversight is embedded at the heart of how we design and deliver services, and we coordinate with higher-scope professionals where clinical needs require it.

Continuity

Trust is built over time — we prioritize worker-client match stability and staff deliberately, not reactively.

Community

We are a Calgary Region organization — we know this city, its surrounding communities, its diversity, and its gaps, and we serve here because we belong here.

Executive Leadership

Chukwudi Okam, PMP

Executive Director

PMP-certified organizational leader with over a decade of experience in Canada’s nuclear and defense maritime sectors — regulated environments where precision, accountability, and governance are operational requirements. He designed Urban Classic Health’s 27-policy compliance framework, initiated CARF International accreditation, prepared and submitted the organization’s PDD and FSCD PQR applications for the Calgary Region (June 2026), and established formal governance before service delivery began.

He holds an active Government of Canada Reliability Status and Site Access Security Clearance, and is a SAIT alumnus with deep roots in Calgary. His approach to organizational governance is shaped by industries where accountability is not optional — and he has built Urban Classic Health to the same standard.

Chinenye Okam, LPN

Director of Care

Licensed Practical Nurse registered in Alberta, providing clinical leadership and oversight across all Urban Classic Health services. She develops individualized care plans, supervises support workers, reviews incident documentation, and ensures services remain clinically appropriate as clients’ needs evolve.

Her clinical presence at the organizational core is what differentiates Urban Classic Health from administrative-only providers — nursing judgment is embedded in how care is designed, not accessed only in a crisis.

Our Commitment to Quality

CARF International Accreditation — In Progress

27-Policy Compliance Framework

Before accepting a client referral, Urban Classic Health developed 27 organizational policies — covering client rights, privacy (aligned with Alberta’s HIA and PIPA), incident reporting, medication management, staff screening, abuse prevention, complaint management, and more. This framework governs every service interaction from day one.

Government of Alberta PQR Applications — Under Review

Urban Classic Health submitted Pre-Qualified Resource (PQR) applications under both the PDD program (AB-2021-06692) and FSCD program (AB-2021-06697) for the Calgary Region in June 2026. Both applications are currently under review by the Government of Alberta.

The PDD submission covers residential group living, supported independent living, respite, community access, behaviour supports and consultation, and information, referral and advocacy. The FSCD submission covers behavioural and developmental supports, specialized services for children with severe disabilities, out-of-home living arrangements, respite and child care supports, and information, referral and advocacy.

Registered with the City of Calgary

Urban Classic Health completed its business registration with the City of Calgary in 2024 under the business activity of Personal Home Health Care Provider.
